Picasso at the Lapin Agile

"Picasso at the Lapin Agile" is a play written by Steve Martin. This show was produced and performed by Johnson County Community College in the fall of 2023, of which I was the lead scenic artist. I pulled together and directed a massive paint crew to paint and create the set desired for the show, leaving not a single piece of it untouched by paint.

This particular show presented me with the opportunity to put all of the skills I have learned with JCCC to the test as we tackled multiple drops, soft covered walls, platforms and staircases, a total of 31 recreations of time accurate paintings, and a multitude of furniture pieces. Directing and leading this massive project on top of being a full-time student brought it's challenges, but as you can see, the show was a success!
